Requirements and how to apply
Responsible for areas in public street space of 15 square metres and above in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg; below that no registration is needed. Registration requires the location, the size and the planned planting.
What you should know
For small tree pits under 15 square metres there is nothing to do here — they may be planted without a permit. Anyone taking on a larger area should assess the maintenance effort over several years honestly; a sponsorship creates a duty of care.
