The street and green space office in Lichtenberg is the responsible authority for parks, playgrounds and street trees. Under „Baumscheiben bepflanzen – Gemeinsam Lichtenberg verschönern!“ the district accepts notifications via an online form or an informal e-mail.

Requirements and how to apply

Insect-friendly plants no higher than 50 centimetres. Loosen the soil no deeper than 10 centimetres and add no extra soil. A wooden edging 30 to 40 centimetres high with at least 50 centimetres clear of the road is permitted. In summer around 70 to 100 litres of water per week plus regular checks; traffic must not be obscured.
