The street and green space office in Tempelhof-Schöneberg is the responsible authority for parks, playgrounds and street trees. Under „Mein Minigarten in der Stadt“ the district takes on tree-pit care via an online form — one of only three districts with a genuine form-based route.

Requirements and how to apply

Plant no deeper than 20 centimetres, because utility lines run below. Plants no higher than 50 centimetres. The tree must have stood at the site for at least five years. No climbers or twining plants, no trellises, grids or signs; the surface must not sit higher than the pavement.

The leaflet is dated June 2025. The application runs through the office's online form; confirmation comes from the green space unit.
