We checked provider, area, application route, deadline and contact against the original source. This is not a recommendation and not a promise of funding.
Run by NABU Berlin and listed by the senate department, the wildlife hotline answers questions about animals on and in buildings — swifts, bats, sparrows, wild bees. If you want to green a façade, rebuild a roof or unseal a courtyard, this is where you find out which species are affected and what to check beforehand.

Requirements and how to apply
Open to everyone, by phone or e-mail. Details on the part of the building, the season and the observed behaviour help.
What you should know
Species protection is not optional: breeding sites and roosts of protected species may not simply be removed. The advice does not replace a decision under species protection law — that is made by the district nature conservation authority. We list this entry because for façades, roofs and unsealing it should be the first call, not the last.
