The route

Tempelhofer Feld is the only route in the starting set with no motor traffic at all. The loop follows the former runways and the paved paths around the edge; it is level throughout, wide enough to ride two abreast, and has zero crossings — there is simply no road to cross.

That is precisely why it meets all seven published children's criteria: separated throughout, no crossings, wide enough, with places to stop, a playground and a public toilet along the way, and no climbing. What you should know beforehand

The field has fixed opening hours that change with the season; it is closed at night and unlit. In a westerly wind the return leg across the open ground is markedly harder than the outward leg.
