Borrow and swap, buy second-hand and package-free, pass things on and dispose of them properly.
Many places here are businesses. We are open about the rules we use to include them: How we select
Lending shops, libraries of things, swap days and community fridges.
Second-hand and charity shops, reuse stores, package-free and refill shops, and flea markets.
Drop-off points for used items, clothing banks and places that pass on food.
Recycling centres, hazardous waste collection and take-back in shops – with guidance from official sources.
Fix it yourself with help at a repair café or have it repaired by a specialist – in the Caring Capital.
Repair café sessions for the next seven days are listed under “Repair” in the Caring Capital.
To the repair café sessions
Repair cafés, self-help workshops and repair shops by the item you are dealing with – such as clothing, electrical appliances or furniture.
There are currently 48 repair places listed here – you can filter them by item.
