From Wannsee to Kladow by ferry

Eight and a half kilometres of cycle route plus a ferry crossing of the Havel. The shortest leisure route in the starting set and the only one where part of the way is covered on water.

The route

From Wannsee S-Bahn station the route follows Wannseebadweg past the lido to the ferry landing. The Havel crossing is made by the public transport ferry, which carries bicycles; it is part of the regular network and runs all year. On the Kladow side the route continues across the village green.

88 per cent of the land route is separated from motor traffic, there are two sets of traffic lights and no crossing without them. Those few crossings are why this route qualifies in parts for riding with children by the criteria — but it is not separated throughout.
