Funding for neighbourhood projects
Short version. The full guide is available in German; source numbers [n] refer to the list below.
Funding for neighbourhood projects. This page explains options and cites official sources; it is not funding advice, and there is no entitlement to funding. Which programme fits depends on where the project takes place. Outside neighbourhood-management areas, the State of Berlin's FEIN programme funds material costs of volunteer activities (e.g. paint, plants, clean-ups) at schools, day-care centres, green spaces and public streets; according to the Senate department it provides “at most EUR 3,500 per individual measure”, and the application procedure differs by district [1]. Inside neighbourhood-management areas, an Aktionsfonds jury decides on projects that neighbours propose and carry out themselves; calls for applications are published locally, and projects must be completed within the same calendar year [2]. Next step: open the FEIN programme page with district contacts.
