About this place
The Laskerwiese citizens' garden sits near Ostkreuz in Friedrichshain and combines a publicly accessible green space with around 35 small plots for association members. Alongside vegetables, fruit trees and herbs there is a pond, beehives and a composting area. New plots are allocated each spring; until then, interested people join a waiting list and contribute a few hours of work for the public part of the site in return. The association also holds a monthly communal gardening session.
