About this place
The Prachttomate community garden lies near the Karl-Marx-Straße U-Bahn station in Neukölln and is run by the non-profit association of the same name. Growing happens in transport crates, old bathtubs and shopping trolleys used as improvised raised beds, mostly organic and in mixed cultivation. Every Friday from 5pm is open garden time, welcoming new gardeners. Throughout the year the garden also hosts neighbourhood cinema evenings, flea markets and other community events.
