About this place
The Tiny Forest 'Moawald' is a mini-forest planted in 2024 in the Moabiter Stadtgarten using the Miyawaki method, with around 400 native trees and shrubs on about 115 square metres. The project is run by the Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZK/U), with practical planning and care handled by the association Kiezwald e. V. Residents were already involved in planning and planting through workshops, and a team continues to look after the site. The project was funded through the Begrünungsprogramm Turmstraße.
