About this place
The mauergarten is an open, intercultural community garden in the northern part of Mauerpark, run by an association since 2012. On around 1,500 square metres, neighbours of many different backgrounds grow vegetables and herbs together, complemented by a bee area and several working groups covering topics such as composting or the greenhouse. Anyone wishing to join gets in touch by email and is introduced to the project at a newcomers' meeting. The garden is part of the public park and open for festivals, workshops and communal garden work.
