About this place

The Botanischer Garten Berlin in Dahlem is run by Freie Universität Berlin and combines outdoor collections, greenhouses and a botanical museum on one site. Alongside the plant collections there are special areas such as the scent and touch garden and the display greenhouse, plus a specialist library, a botanical advice service and a mushroom advice service. School classes, kindergarten groups, families and adults are served by dedicated education programmes, complemented by public guided tours such as the Sunday tours. The garden is open daily for an admission fee, with different opening hours in the summer and winter half of the year. The botanical museum is closed for refurbishment, expected until 2027.
