About this place

NIRGENDWO is a site for environmental education and culture in Wriezener Park in Friedrichshain, next to the former engine shed on Helsingforser Straße. On the grounds and in the surrounding park, habitats for urban nature are being created: beds, nesting aids and structures for wild insects, accompanied by guided walks and workshops on species diversity, habitats, wild insects and birds. Environmental education is aimed at school classes, kindergarten groups, families and companies; there is also a cultural programme of events and the option to rent the site as a venue. Cultural operations run seasonally from April to September, and the free Gemeinwohl-Café opens on Thursdays from May to September for the neighbourhood. Anyone wanting to help can join the volunteer group for Wriezener Park, which tends and replants the beds together with BUND Berlin.
