Finding self-help and advice
Short version. The full guide is available in German; source numbers [n] refer to the list below.
“This information does not replace advice from a doctor or therapist.” Finding self-help and advice. In a crisis or emergency, use the help bar at the top of every page. hauptstadt.net does not list individual self-help groups, only the services that refer people to them. SEKIS Berlin advises: for group offers, contact the self-help contact point in your district [2]; it also offers the “Selbsthilfe Berlin” app [2]. The State of Berlin lists independent advice services, including the Independent Patient Advice Germany (UPD), the Chamber of Psychotherapists (search services) and a complaints office for psychiatry [1]. In a psychosocial crisis, the Berlin Crisis Service can be reached free of charge 24 hours a day; the number depends on your district [1]. Next step: SEKIS Berlin refers you to the self-help contact point in your district: https://www.sekis-berlin.de/
