This page only reproduces what a publication of the Federal Ministry of Health (2024) summarises as recommendations for adults (18–64) based on the national (2016) and WHO (2020) recommendations [1]: adults should be physically active regularly, “if possible at least 150–300 minutes at moderate intensity or at least 75–150 minutes at higher intensity per week”, do muscle-strengthening activities on at least two days a week, and avoid long uninterrupted periods of sitting [1]. It says nothing about what physical activity is good for. If you have health questions, your doctor decides what is suitable.
