Solar on an apartment building (owners' association)
This page explains options and names sources. It is not legal, funding or energy advice. Whether something applies to your building or contract should be checked with an advice centre or the responsible authority.
Solar on an apartment building (owners' association). According to the SolarZentrum Berlin, several operating models are possible: feeding into the public grid, selling electricity to residents (tenant electricity), shared building supply, or leasing the roof to a third party [1]. The SolarZentrum advises “independently and neutrally with regard to products and manufacturers”; the basic consultation is free and only for Berlin properties, and it covers planning, roof suitability, cost-effectiveness, funding programmes and checks of up to three quotes [2]. Before placing an order, check the owners' resolution, the roof statics and the grid connection with management, professionals and, where needed, legal advice. Next step: book the free basic consultation at SolarZentrum Berlin: https://www.berlin.de/solarcity/solarzentrum/information/beratung/
